[Gnso-sc-budget] bullet point on ICANN org sustainability audit

Hi Ayden et al,

In Document 2 of the draft ICANN FY19 Budget proposal, under Section 2.5.3 Reductions to Internal Activity or Expenses and sub-title "ICANN org sustainability audit and draft report" page 23; the statement reads:

"There is no funding to conduct an ICANN org sustainability audit and draft report."

I'm simply responding to the statement that funding should be provided to such an important exercise.

The difference between this audit and ATRT3 is that while ATRT3 is conducted by the Community, the former is implemented by a third party external to ICANN and it focuses on 'Sustainability" while ATRT3 focus on "Accountability and Transparency".

Thanks.

Jimson

 Dear all,

There have been several enquiries as to what we are referring to in this bullet point of our comment:

● The GNSO Council notes the indication that there is "no funding to conduct an ICANN org sustainability audit and draft report." Council considers the audit exercise output as an essential tool for its own continuous oversight of ICANN org and as such Council recommends that the audit should be funded in FY19.

I believe this language was inserted by Jimson. Jimson, could you please clarify what this is? There was also a question asking how it differs from ATRT3? Thank you.

Best wishes,

Ayden
