While I think that this committee should be focused

on the policy responsibility of the gTLD policies... and related implementation, I can see a clear aspect of the Reserve Fund linkage and implication for policy ... and the Council's mandate therefore.


I was the deputy in the NE region /US in the closedown of a computer systems company, and I learned a lot about unwinding contracts, examining policies, supporting staff as they depart, and trying to do the ongoing work, while the exit occurs.  Obviously, given the complexity of ICANN's operations, it will be a lot of HR, ops, etc, but also there will be significant policy activities to be addressed during any major change, such as this.

So, I do think that this SC should comment, and be focused on the remit of the policy development/coordination.
