[Gnso-sc-budget] FW: [Community-Finance] Revised Schedule for Public Comment Period on Two Key ICANN Plans

Hi All,

 

If you have not seen the announcement, ICANN Org will release the FY21 and 5YSP documents on the 20th of December. We scheduled a call this coming Wednesday, 18 Dec. 2019 at 21 UTC in hopes of performing an initial review of the documents. Our planned initial review will not occur since the documents will not be released until later in the week. However, ICANN Finance has offered to join our meeting to share information on the structure of the plans, the layout, and some specifics on the contents of the planning documents which accomplishes out intent of having this call prior to the holiday break. This information will be posted on the Finance Community wiki shortly thereafter.

 

Also, you’ll note that the Finance team has scheduled a few webinars for early January 2020.

 

As noted before, the SCBO will want to formulate initial positions related to the planning documents earlier in this cycle as to share those draft positions in a joint session with the CCNSO’s SOPC team. The intent of this joint session is to better understand shared positions and identify areas that the two groups consider unique.

Dear ICANN Community Member, 

 

The Public Comment period for the Draft FY21-FY25 Operating and Financial Plan and Draft FY21 Operating Plan and Budget has changed. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, 17 December 2019, drafts of the two plans will now be available beginning Friday, 20 December 2019.

This date change may impact previously scheduled meetings intended for the Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees to begin their review. ICANN org is prepared to provide those groups with the Table of Contents of the documents and other information that may be helpful prior to the release of the complete drafts. Please email  <mailto:planning at icann.org> planning at icann.org to request. Information also will be published on the  <https://community.icann.org/display/projfinadhocws/Finance+Community+Group+Workspace> Finance community wiki page.

In addition, the Public Comment period has been extended by 7 days to 58 days (excluding holidays) to give the community more time to review the documents. To learn more and ask questions during the Public Comment window, webinars will be held on:
