Ayden,
this is interesting.
Can you add a brief discussion to our upcoming call that defines what this would entail?
Could staff provide a list of such groups and their role in GNSO policy, so we make sure that we are focused on our remit?

For example, CCWG-AP is not a GNSO WG, but GNSO is a chartering member, and this group has suffered from some limitations in support -- e.g. no travel funding; limited access to outside expert consultation, very poor time slot scheduling of its face to face working sessions, etc.

This is not about GNSO policy, per se, but was created based on GNSO earlier policy actions, so I think we could justify including it on the list...

Dear all,

During the GNSO Council's Strategic Planning Session in Los Angeles this week, it was suggested that the SCBO should engage with the leadership of the various GNSO working groups in order to understand their respective resourcing needs. It was suggested that this should take place roughly each August, before the budget has been formally released, so that we have a better understanding of what resources are likely to be required in the coming fiscal year. I thought I'd share this update with you ASAP. Once the list of action items from this meeting is published, I will revert back if my summary of the action item is incorrect.
