FYI, PTI launched a public comment proceeding for its own strategic plan. This has less to do within the GNSO Council’s remit as managers of the policy development process, but the Council did comment on its FY21 budget. I will reach out to Council leadership to ask if this is something for the SCBO to consider.
Thank you.

20 April 2020
Open Date:

Close Date:
1 June 2020
Originating Organization:
IANA
Categories/Tags:
Strategy
Brief Overview:
Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) is the ICANN affiliate responsible for delivering the IANA functions. The PTI Bylaws require the organization to have its own strategic plan. This requirement affords PTI the opportunity to go into a finer level of detail on IANA-related objectives that otherwise do not surface in the broader ICANN Strategic Plan. The PTI Strategic Plan will cover fiscal years 2021-2024.

About ICANN
ICANN’s mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
