[Gnso-sc-budget] Draft Timeline for SCBO & ICANN Org FY22 Draft Ops and Budget

>From our call today in AoB, I highlighted a possible schedule for the SCBO's
review of ICANN Org's FY22 draft Operating and Budget plans. This is subject
to revisions as we get closer to December.

 

*	17 Dec 2020 - FY22 draft documents released and public comment
proceeding begins
*	23 Dec 2020 - SCBO meeting #02 @14:00 UTC to conduct initial review
of draft documents and make available a google document for a draft of
comments
*	06 Jan 2020 - SCBO meeting #03 @14:00 UTC
*	XX Jan 2021 - Finance/Planning team to host a webinar of FY22
materials
*	11 Jan 2021 - GNSO Council Motions and Documents Deadline
*	13 Jan 2020 - SCBO meeting #04 @14:00 UTC
*	20 Jan 2020 - SCBO meeting #05 @14:00 UTC
*	21 Jan 2021 - GNSO Council Meeting << expect to make preview draft
of comments as an agenda item
*	27 Jan 2020 - SCBO meeting #06 @14:00 UTC
*	XX Jan 2021 - SCBO joint session with the CCNSO's SOPC
*	03 Feb 2020 - SCBO meeting #07 @14:00 UTC (if required)
*	08 Feb 2021 - Close of public comments on FY22 draft documents;
submit Council comment by 23:59 UTC
*	18 Mar 2021 - Release of public comments report
*	20 Mar 2021 - ICANN70 << joint session with CCNSO's SOPC and
scheduled session hosted by Finance/Planning team

 

The meeting times listed above reflect the schedule of the meeting we had
today. I will have the GNSO Secretariat create the calendar invitations
through Feb. 2021.

Lastly, if you are not aware, the GNSO Council now has a suite of tools that
may be helpful to the SCBO in preparing comments in regards to the budget
and the Council's remit for managing the policy development process. These
have evolved over this year now having a greater focus on Program and
Project management principles with the intent to better understand all the
activities relevant to the GNSO. Two of the tools, Program Management Tool
(PMT) and the Action Decision Radar (ADR) can be used to better understand
what policy and other efforts will likely be active for the upcoming fiscal
year. These compliment the Projects List (PL). The suite of tools are
updated monthly in preparation for Council meetings. Links:
