[Gnso-sc-budget] FY23 Operations & Budget Planning Cycle Begins

Dear SCBO,

It’s that time of year again. Welcome to Fall in the northern hemisphere and Spring in the southern.

In the last few days, ICANN Org hosted a few webinars to introduce the FY23 Operating Plan and Budget planning cycle. Here is a link to the recordings that will be posted soon and a PDF of the presentation. This webinar contains relevant information related to FY21 actuals, the reserve fund, and the FY23 planning process and timeline.  https://community.icann.org/display/projfinadhocws/FY23+Budget+Webinars

Also during the webinar, Org announced the start of the FY23 IANA/PTI public comment on 15 Sep. that closes 25 Oct. https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/draft-pti-and-iana-fy23-operating-plan-and-budgets-15-09-2021

Shortly, you will see a few meeting invitations for the SCBO to reconvene to review the draft documents and begin drafting a response for the GNSO Council. We’ll likely maintain our prior call schedule of Wednesdays of 12:00 UTC.

Lastly, shortly after the annual general meeting at ICANN72, we will reset the roster of the SCBO. In the meantime, please liaise with your respective groups to determine if you will continue to represent your group or if new volunteers will replace you.
