<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The GNSO Council has asked the SSC to take on a selection process in the coming weeks related to the re-scheduled start of the
<a href="https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2017-01-31-en">Third Review of ICANN Accountability and Transparency (ATRT3)</a>. I know this is a busy time for many of you with ICANN63 coming up,
<b>but this will need to be quite a quick process with action required on your part in the next two weeks</b> (details below).

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Last year the SSC went through a selection process to recommend candidates for the ATRT3 (details
<a href="https://community.icann.org/display/GSSC/ATRT3">here</a>). The start of the ATRT3 was then delayed to allow for conversations and public consultation on the schedule of ICANN reviews (see public comments on
<a href="https://www.icann.org/public-comments/specific-reviews-short-term-timeline-2018-05-14-en">
short-term</a> and <a href="https://www.icann.org/public-comments/reviews-long-term-timeline-2018-05-14-en">
long-term</a> options to adjust the timeline of reviews). ICANN Org is now <a href="https://www.icann.org/public-comments/reviews-next-steps-2018-09-05-en">
recommending to the Board</a> that that ATRT3 begin in January 2019. The GNSO has been asked to finalize its slate of candidates by 31 October, but we are working to find a little more flexibility in this deadline.
</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Some time has passed since the original call for volunteers, and the GNSO is now asking the SSC to ensure that the GNSO has a full slate of candidates to put forward. At a minimum, two of the original primary

will then complete the selection process in a meeting scheduled in early November (please complete the
