Expirations do happen from time to time for the twenty TLDs that haven't
elected "Auto-Renew", but even these are typically renewed within a
couple of weeks of expiration.  The TLDs in question are:

    6:  ford
    7:  gea
    8:  hamburg
    9:  hbo
   10:  ikano
   11:  lamborghini
   12:  lincoln
   13:  moscow

   18:  xn--80adxhks
   19:  xn--fiq228c5hs
   20:  xn--hxt814e

That's been the case from day one.  Fortunately, with "Auto-Renew"
issues are now much more rare.  With "desi" now under a new operator,
FWIW I now have working access for every CZDS TLD, yes "berlin" and
"hamburg" IIRC recently expired for a week or two, but then were
renewed, be it after a short access "gap".
