Ideally such a team should consist of up to 5 people, from different stakeholder groups, representing all regions of the world. This team will work over the next 2 month (and beyond) in close cooperation with Incite Learning. ICANN is rich in its cultural diversity and global reach. Developing Cultural Intelligence at ICANN is a learning experience focused on improving cultural knowledge and awareness; what we are calling Cultural Intelligence. We will examine our behaviours and beliefs and how they impact our awareness and interaction when working with people from different cultures. We will explore the dual dimensions of culture like: individualist vs. collectivist; direct vs. indirect; formal vs. informal; and hierarchical vs. democratic. Leveraging our in room talent there will be much interaction, discussion and activity about similarities and differences around the world and around the room. Additionally, we will consider specific cultural challenges ICANN deals with and how to best overcome them. <b><o:p></o:p></b></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal><i><span lang=EN-GB><o:p> </o:p></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><i><span lang=EN-GB>When:</span></i></b><i><span lang=EN-GB> The experience will begin with a webinar before our face-to-face meeting on November 3<sup>rd</sup> in Abu Dhabi. After our time together we will have follow-up phone calls to address related topics that came up during the meeting.<o:p></o:p></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal><i><span lang=EN-GB><o:p> </o:p></span></i></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><i><span lang=EN-GB>Why:</span></i></b><i><span lang=EN-GB> The topic of Culture has come up repeatedly during the ICANN Academy Leadership Programme. Alumni’s will be offered the first opportunity to register for this course until 31 August.
