[IDN-WG] Initial Report on Universal Acceptance of IDN TLDs - request to develop ALAC statement

Hi Edmon, 

This is a friendly reminder that Olivier Crepin-Leblond, Chair of the ALAC,
has requested that you, in collaboration with the At-Large IDN WG, draft an
ALAC statement on the Initial Report on Universal Acceptance of IDN TLDs. 

As the public comment period for this issue closes on 7 February 2012 (see:
http://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/universal-acceptance-idn-tlds-06jan12
-en.htm ) In order to have a 5 day comment period and a 5 day vote, a draft
statement would need to be prepared by 20 January.

Would you like At-Large staff to organize a call of the IDN WG to prepare
this draft statement or would you like to circulate the draft statement to
the IDN WG mailing list?

Given the tight time-frame, staff have added this issue to the agenda for
tomorrow's IDN WG call under Next Steps. Would you like staff to organize a
call of the IDN WG next week to develop this statement?
