Jokes aside, there is a time and place for everything. The world changes. We live now in a different world than earlier. Internet has changed, and grown. And as you point out, there has been a unique effort on this topic - and I think even more unique agreement on the big picture.

Are there problems? Yes. Disagreements? Yes. Are we going to be exactly on time? Probably not. But I think we are on an unprecedented trajectory to do this, and it will happen. This is not your grandmom’s IANA transition, it is the real thing :-) And it really is up to us - the coordinators, community members and leaders. Lets do it.
