Dear members of the IRP-IOT,

Reminder - we have an Adobe conference call scheduled for this coming Thursday, Feb. 8, at 19:00 UTC.

As noted, I plan to use the drafting of our report on the treatment of public comments as the vehicle to drive us toward closure. It should be a good way to see how our discussions on issues raised in those comments actually translate into suggestion for amending the updated supplementary procedures (USP). We have had many discussions, reached agreement on most, and this should prove a good way to finish out our work on rules.

I had hoped to have a complete draft ready for our discussions on Feb 8th but this past week a sudden illness took out two full days from my schedule. Nonetheless, tomorrow I will forward a draft-in-formation with plenty for us to look at.

It will have an introduction for readers to understand the process that this report is about.

It will have a section addressing the draft USPs individually with instructions to Sidley from us to give effect to changes we have agreed based on comments.

And it will have an admin section at the end for us to track admin items and next steps - this section is not intended to be in the document released to the community/public.

Interspersed in red will be some questions/observations I came up with while drafting.

We are close to done with USP - this draft and this next meeting (plus only one or two more) should help us to finish the rules, prepare to help SOs/ACs in selecting standing panel if we are asked, and start to address other issues for the IRP-IOT.

So, I am asking that you please read through the draft for Thursday, comment on list or on call, and help us draw this part of the work to a close.

Many thanks and best wishes,

David
