Hi Mike, Having ICANN Legal on the calls is helpful, as is having the benefit of others such as yourself with experience of the IRP.  ICANN Legal are also working on a couple of action items which we need in order to wrap up on the timing discussion.  Whilst we could spend some time tomorrow identifying other items on our workload – both on the IRP rules and more generally – this doesn’t feel like the best use of everyone’s time on a call, and something that we can progress just as well by email.  I’m trying to be respectful of people’s very valuable time.

Who decided that participation by ICANN Legal is required for every WG call?  Are they any less capable than anyone else to review recordings and transcripts after the fact?

Please note that the call scheduled for tomorrow is canceled. This is in part due to a late notice that ICANN legal is unavailable.

Our next call is scheduled for August 31 at 19:00 UTC and the ICANN Ombuds, Herb Waye, will be making a presentation and answering questions from the IoT regarding the accountability mechanisms he is responsible for.

Susan hopes that we will use this time to prepare for the meeting with the Ombuds and finalize the list of further work for the IoT over email.
