[IOT] IRP-IOT Action Items & Next Call

Hi all

We will have our next IOT call next week on Tuesday 16 April, 1800-1900 UTC.

There are a few decisions and action items from the IOT call yesterday that I wanted to flag for those of you who were not able to make the call:

  1.  Legal draft text for rules 3, 4 A, B, C and D, 5 B and 7 (Liz Le email 29 March). Having received no comments or concerns about the legal draft text we are now treating this as stable for the purposes of the upcoming public comment.
  2.  Rationales document, combining clean legal draft text of the rules and the rationales to be put out for public comment (circulated with yesterday's agenda).
     *   Action for IOT: Please review and share any comments or proposed edits over email between now and 16 April.  If there are any points, raised in advance, which require discussion then we will do so on our next call.  Otherwise we will treat this text as stable.
     *   Action for Bernard: to create a version with redlines of the rules against the Interim Supplementary Procedure.
  3.  Standing Panel Training Materials (Liz Le  email 29 March).
     *   Action for IOT: Review the list:

                                                              i.      If there are objections to the Standing Panel appointees being directed to any of the materials listed please identify this over email as soon as possible, but in any event by 23 April at the latest

                                                             ii.      Please share by email any additional specific materials or types of material/subject matter that you believe the Standing Panel appointees ought to be directed to.  Again, by 23 April for this please

     *   Action for Sam/Liz: consider whether alternative terminology might be appropriate, in light of concerns raised over term "training".
  1.  Outstanding tasks and next task(s) for the IOT pending the public comment conclusion (list circulated with yesterday's agenda).
     *   There are a small number of items on the IRP previously identified for potential consideration.  We will review and address these, as necessary, as a first priority
     *   Various other items are also assigned to the IOT under the Bylaws.  ICANN Legal shared the view that rules governing the Cooperative Engagement Process (CEP) are a particular priority, having not been updated since the change of Bylaws, as are any rules on IRP Appeals
     *   Action for IOT: share views over email on whether to address CEP or Appeals next and/or come to the next call on 16 April prepared to discuss
