Thanks Akram. That makes sense to me and it confirms what I thought, i.e., that the PTI staff members would not be allowed to be seconded ICANN employees beyond that point. Correct?

Chuck, the plan is to offer the IANA employees to transfer to PTI or apply to other jobs within ICANN. Obviously, we cannot force employees to work for PTI we can only hire replacements if they decide not to move.

So regardless, all the IANA employees will be working for PTI at the latest 36 months after the transition. I hope this clarifies the plan, please let me know if you have any questions, thanks

The following issue was raised on the RySG list: "The tricky part here is that current ICANN employees will be offered employment by PTI, but can refuse it and keep being employed by ICANN and seconded to PTI, leaving the new hires the only PTI employees."

Am I correct in assuming that this would not be allowed?
