Hi Tony,
are any ISPCP members not eligible according to the bylaws? E.g. one
having served already on the NomCom...
Kind regards
Wolf-Ulrich

Betreff: [ispcp] Election of NomCom representative for 2011-2012
Wichtigkeit: Hoch
ISPCP members
Following the conclusion of last year's NomCom there is now a
need to appoint a new ISPCP representative to the ICANN Nominating
Committee for the period 2011-2012. The appointee will be requested to
commence work at the next ICANN meeting in Senegal.
The following election process will enable the ISPCP to comply
with that requirement.
Nomination period: Tuesday 30 August to Friday 2nd September
ending 17.00 hours UTC
Announcement of nominated candidates: Saturday 3rd September.
Voting period; Monday 5th September to Thursday 8th September,
ending at 17.00 UTC.
Voting results announced Friday 9th September.
* All Nominations will require a proposer and a seconder
in order to qualify.
* All ISPCP voting members will be allowed one vote.
* If only one candidate is nominated they will be
declared 'elected' after the nomination period ends.
* In the event of more than one candidate standing the
nominated member with the most votes will be elected.
Please forward all nominations and seconder information to the
full ISPCPP list ispcp at icann.org with the message header 'ISPCP NOMCOM
nomination'.
Information on how to vote will be sent to the ISPCP list once
the nomination period is over.
If anyone requires more information on the work of the
Nominating Committee and what is required to serve on that committee
please contact me privately. I'll be pleased to offer advice after
serving as the ISPCP rep for the past two years.
Tony
