Dear Veena,

Thank you for the discussion regards to the candidate cross-script variant for Malayalam.
Please find the summary of our discussion as follows:

  1. 0D31 റ MALAYALAM LETTER RRA and 1002 ဂ MYANMAR LETTER GA, you suggested to add these as cross-script variant code points because Myanmar script is also derived from the Brahmi script. This is in compliant with the NBGP cross script variant analysis principle.

  1. 0D1F ട MALAYALAM LETTER TTA is similar to 0073 s LATIN SMALL LETTER S and 0455 ѕ CYRILLIC SMALL LETTER DZE, however this is out of scope of NBGP cross script variant analysis principle. They will be listed in the Appendix.

  1. 0D28 ന MALAYALAM LETTER NA and 1000 က MYANMAR LETTER KA can be listed as confusable in the appendix.

  1. I’ll update the document according to our discussion conclusion, and share with you for your finalization.

Please feel free to add any further details, based on our conversation.

Regards,
Pitinan
