Hope you are safe from this pandemic COVID-19.


Thanks for keeping us updated on Bangla Script LGR public comment. The system receives few comments though hardly any days are left to submit public comment on Bangla LGR. The possible reason behind this less response to public comment is the pandemic situation on COVID-19, as Bangladesh's working group couldn't arrange F2F meetings with Bangladeshi scholars, journalists, and other concerned community members.


Therefore, I would humbly request you to extend the submission date at least for a month or so. Hopefully, by that time, pandemic situation will be improved worldwide and we will be able to adjust ourselves with 'New Normal' life style as well.


Let us fight together, protect ourselves & others from COVID-19.

This is an update on the Bangla Script LGR public comment<https://www.icann.org/public-comments/lgr-proposal-bangla-script-2020-03-02-en> status. Since it was published on 2 March 2020,  now it is about half-way through. There are 24 days left and it will close on 23 April 2020. So far, we have received a few comments<https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/comments-lgr-proposal-bangla-script-02mar20/2020q1/thread.html>.



One of the comments is from the  Integration Panel which needs NBGP discussion.  Kindly review the slide attached for your information and for any feedback on the issue.

We will coordinate with the co-chairs to organize a NBGP meeting to review comments and finalize the response.
