<p><font face="Georgia">Please find attached, Devanagari LGR files
modified with the option 4-2 included both in Document and the
XML. I have tested the same in the LGR tool and find it to be
working. The doc and the pdf have also modified and an
additional section 6.1.1 has been introduced that discusses
this. The other variant related discussion is not added to the
document as it discusses some aspects of the Root LGR procedure
(e.g. Index variant mechanism) which are procedure specific and
cannot be fully justified in a script specific LGR document. If
the entire IP feedback, as received on the Variants, could be
externally referenced, that could be a better possible
alternative. However, if IP suggests that to be added, it may
need to be suitably modified and added. <br>

<div> </div>
<div> I do acknowledge the detailed Variant Analysis document
provided by the IP team. As of now, no specific variants have
been added to the DV LGR. </div>
<div> </div>
<div> In addition, there is a recommendation from IP that one of
the Options i.e. Option 4-1 is recommended. However the option
recommends "Do nothing". Hence no specific change is
incorporated towards that. In case IP actually recommends Option
4-2 and inadvertently mentioned 4-1, DV LGR can accordingly
modified soon. </div>

<p>The IP has reviewed the variants defined in a number of
NeoB LGRs. Some of them required a deeper analysis as it
was not obvious whether they would be 'well-behaved' for
the purpose of mechanically evaluating the LGR.</p>
<p>A document describing the analysis Devanagari is
attached. Note that one of the options, 4-1, has been
recommended in our feedback, and that recommendation is
unchanged, even if this document treats it as an "option".</p>
<p>For the other options, IP review is still ongoing; we are
trying to determine whether implementing these options
causes more problems than they would fix and whether there
are other ways, such as mechanical testing, to ensure that
an LGR is 'well-behaved', which would obviate
modifications to the LGR document.</p>
<p>We hope that this document will provide needed background
and welcome any questions or discussion.</p>
