Bangladesh consultants and Bangla Academy seem to be very particular about calling the language "Bangla". The other alternative, "Bengali" is an English legacy - much like "Cawnpore", and I am happy to suggest that we use "Bangla" throughout the LGR document. Regards,

I may like to point that the name of the language is not consistent throughout the list with
<strong>Bengal</strong>i (with Prof Uday),
<strong>Bangla</strong> (with Prof Pabitra and Atiur) and even
<strong>Bangla (Bengali)</strong> with Rajib's name. All may be made consistent with the co-chair's consent.
