Dear All,

The original timeline for the ALAC procedure to submit public comments
on and file possible objections to new gTLD Applications
(https://community.icann.org/x/EZnbAQ) during the 60 day Application
Comment Period (ACP)
were as follows :

June 13 - Reveal day - start of ACP
Figure 2 - up to week 4 - end of July 11 - get comments from At-Large
on the wiki
Figure 3 - Week 5 - July 11 - 18 - this is when the RG would review
comments on the wiki and decide to draft formal comments
Figure 4 - Week 6, 7 - July 18 - 25, July 25 - Aug 1 - draft of formal
comment posted and worked on by RG
Figure 5 - Week 8 - Aug 1 - Aug 8 - final comment posted on August 1
for ALAC to approve by August 8
Aug 12  - ACP ends

Unfortunately, the ICANN Prague meeting took up a large chunk of the
time that the At-Large were to submit comments. So I'm thinking a
revised
timeline should be

June 13 - Reveal day - start of ACP
Figure 2 - to the end of July 26 - get comments from At-Large on the wiki
Figure 3 - July 26 - July 27 - this is when the RG would review
comments on the wiki and decide to draft formal comments
Figure 4 - July 26 - Aug 2 - draft of formal comment posted and worked on by RG
Figure 5 - Aug 3 - Aug 10 - final comment posted on August 3 for ALAC
to approve by August 10
Aug 12  - ACP ends

Thoughts? This would give
- 3 weeks for At-Large to submit comments ;
- one or two days (July 26-27) to actually review the comments and
decide whether to draft formal comments from the comments on the wiki
;
- one week for the RG group to draft comments. Given that formal
comments to ICANN has a limit of 3,500 characters, I am optimistic
that this is achievable ;
- one week for ALAC to vote to submit the comments as from ALAC (or not)

Kind Regards,

Dev Anand Teelucksingh
