<div>Dear all, </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The deadline to submit session requests for ICANN58 is <b>30 January 2017</b>. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>To date, there have been no specific community requests for a meeting that builds on previous discussions to explore the concept of the public interest at ICANN. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Since we are only one week away from the deadline, I wanted to solicit your thoughts on whether a session is needed at the forthcoming meeting. This includes ideas on any related sub-themes/topics and speakers. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Kindly note that the scope of these discussions <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">
must be anchored in the Mission/Commitments/Core Values section of the new Bylaws, which require that "</span>that the bottom-up, multistakeholder policy development process is used to ascertain the global public interest<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">."</span> </div>
<div><br>
