Dear Recs 15-16 Subgroup,

Please find below ICANN org’s answer to your request for clarification: Over the period of WHOIS RT recommendation implementation, has there been anyone overseeing the entire package of work and, if so, did that entity issue ongoing reports and workplan, updated to track progress?

The action plan<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/implementation-action-08nov12-en.pdf> the Board adopted mapped out milestones to complete and was the roadmap ICANN org used to complete implementation of WHOIS1 review team recommendations. Progress in implementing WHOIS1 recommendations was overseen and tracked by a dedicated staff member. Each page includes a summary of all activities undertaken to complete the recommendations. ICANN org is continuously working on improving its implementation tracking tools.
In addition, under new Bylaws section 4.5, ICANN is in the process of developing an Annual Review Implementation Report, which will discuss the status of the implementation of all review processes required by Section 4.6 and the status of ICANN's implementation of the recommendations set forth in the final reports issued by the review teams to the Board following the conclusion of such review ("Annual Review Implementation Report").
