Dear all,

I’m fine with the amendment to the ToR. It’s concise while keeps some flexibility.

Regards,
Lili

Subject: [RDS-WHOIS2-RT] Plenary call #17: review needed on Terms of Reference; Subgroups Update.

Dear Review Team members,

On today’s plenary call, review team members in attendance discussed and agreed to the addition brought to the Terms of Reference as suggested below by Alan:

“In recognition that the WHOIS landscape will be changing, perhaps radically, over the coming months as ICANN addresses how it will respond to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the RT may choose to defer some or all of its work in relation to the scope items on Law Enforcement Needs, Consumer Trust and Safeguarding Registrant Data until it is more clear what path ICANN will be following. Should any work be deferred, individual timelines may slip. However, it is the intent of the RT that the overall schedule calling for the final report to be delivered by the end of December 2018 not change appreciably.”

See attached for more information.

Review team members in attendance also ratified the leadership decision to notify the ccNSO Council that no specific skills, and thus no ccNSO members, are needed on the Review Team.

Action item: Cathrin, Chris, Erika, Lili, Thomas, Volker to review and send edits/comments on the above. In absence of objections/concerns raised by 7 Feb EOD, the proposals will be considered as accepted.

Subgroups update
Action item: Rapporteurs must be prepared to present on plenary call #18 (5 February 2018) how their subgroup is going to tackle their work. If unable to participate, the rapporteur must assign subgroup member.

Kind regards,

Jean-Baptiste
