    <p>One further point, regarding the issue of grandfathered domains.</p>

    <p>In one of my previous messages I stated that this is actually not

      a problem as the number of grandfathered domains will steadily

      decrease. This is also supported in the latest ARS report.</p>

    <p>If you review pages 8 and 9 of the report, particularly Graph 2,

      it will show that there has been a steady decrease of domains that

      can be considered to be grandfathered as they are meeting their

      trigger events. From initially 33% of domains falling into the

      non-grandfathered category, this has risen to now 69,7% of domain

      names. <br>

    </p>

    <p>The ARS therefore fully supports my view that no action is

      necessary to "deal with" grandfathered domains as this issue will

      resolve itself in the next couple of years. In fact, if the

      current trend continues on, there would be no such domains

      remaining in the zones. Obviously, there will be some drop-off at

      the end but unless we can demonstrate that these last remaining GF

      domains pose a significant threat to the security and stability of

      the internet, it is my view that these can be left alone until

      they too start falling under the 2013 RAA rules. <br>

    </p>

    <p>I therefore renew my request to drop any recommendations

      regarding the alignment of contactual requirements between

      grandfathered domains and non-grandfathered domains. All evidence

      available to us suggests that the issue will resolve itself.</p>

      <p>This is clear evidence that contactibility has significantly

        improved and is nowhere near of an issue as it is sometimes

        portrayed. Sytax accuracy is even higher than the above.<br>

      </p>

      <p>It is regrettable that the number for phone numbers is lower,

        but also very undeastandable, as it is the most direct and

        potentially invasive method of communication.</p>

      <p>These are very hopeful and positive numbers that I would expect

        to be taken into account for any recommendations we may make

        regarding data accuracy. Any new requirement would have to be

        justified and supported with fact-based data against the data in

        this report. <br>

      </p>

      <p>When I read the report, I do not see a huge systemic problem. I

        see a system that is working well and that may need a few

        additional tweaks to work even better, but mainly on the

        "nice-to-have but not strictly necessary"-front. We are not

        looking at a flawed system that would justify costly or deeply

        invasive (to contracted parties) changes, but an issue that only

        affects a small percentile of domain names and even for thise we

        do not have any data suggesting that these are the problematic

        registrations from an anti-abuse perspective.<br>

      </p>
