<p>Of these messages, most seem to be time-outs (ICANN got no
response), three are rate-limitations (legitimate method of
stopping bulk queries) and two are "not found" messages (where the
whois server responded but did not return a result for the domain
names).</p>
<p>Without more information (domain name, registrar, registry) it
will be difficult to find the root causes of these issues, but at
least with the time-outs, ICANN should investigate what caused
these. Have you tried the same queries at a later time and gotten
valid results or did these queries provide the same failure
notices over the course of a longer period of time?</p>
