notification laws in different jurisdiction all vary...some
are independent of Data Protection legislation, eg in the
USA. If you are deeply interested in this topic, I did a
research paper with an American colleague on ID theft back in
2005, he catalogued all the ones that existed at that time in
the US.</font></font></p>

Actually, the issue here is a bit different. The breach
notification laws
that I am aware of are in regard to personal information, where in
this
case, even the other information may be of interest (ie for
example an
attempt to alter the expiration dates or the registrar of record
(yes, I
am aware that these could be deemed to be personal data, but even
if they
aren't, we should care).<br>
