Hi, I'm on a new box where I don't have "dig", clearly
something I'll need. If you're in the same position ask
Google for a public Web-interface for dig or nslookup.

Start with say ftp.uri.arpa, the records are stored in
DNS. The uri.arpa zone is managed by IANA. The uri.arpa
mailing list does not work very well, you can subscribe
and send mails to it, but that never shows up in the
public archive (apparently frozen 2003).

The IESG convinced me, that NNTP (net news) does not
really need "service discovery", therefore I dropped
my attempts to get a nntp.uri.arpa entry back in 2008.
