To Whom It May Concern,

The Signed Key Response (SKR) 2021-Q4 [1], the third of three SKRs generated at Root DNSSEC KSK Ceremony 42, has been successfully transmitted to the Root Zone Maintainer Verisign in the approximate time frame it would have been according to typical ceremony scheduling.

Due to the evolving pandemic, three sets of signatures were signed at Root DNSSEC KSK Ceremony 42 [2] on 11 February 2021 allowing sufficient flexibility of signatures for three quarters instead of one quarter of signatures in a typical ceremony.

The first SKR 2021-Q2 was transmitted to the Root Zone Maintainer after Root DNSSEC KSK Ceremony 42 on 17 February 2021, and the second SKR 2021-Q3 was transmitted on 17 May 2021 according to typical ceremony scheduling.
