Hello, RSS GWG.

As you know, the charter of the RSS GWG (https://community.icann.org/x/35EzBw) states that the RSS GWG “shall elect from its representatives a chair to manage its work and preside over RSS GWG meetings”. Only representatives are eligible for this role.

Primarily, the RSS GWG Chair will drive the RSS GWG to consensus, which is defined as “general agreement without any formal objections.” Working with the ICANN org support staff, the RSS GWG Chair will also ensure that the RSS GWG works “openly and transparently” by adhering to the adopted work plan and providing regular reports.

Please consider this the opening of a one-week nomination period. The timeline and next steps in this process are below for your reference. As I mentioned during the teleconference last week, I am happy to answer any questions.

Best,

Carlos
