Thanks indeed for circulating this Bernie - it is most helpful in terms of grounding some of the thoughts and forming a basis for determining a course to engage with a feasible review program with reasonable timelines and milestones.

I particularly appreciate the section"Focus of the SSR2 – Scope of Work“

Personally I would be happy to see this enumeration of questions for the body of the SSR2 study, as it appears to strike a good balance in building on the SSR1 work, and looking at the changes to the environment in a post-transition ICANN. At the same time this document brings together a concrete set of questions that are not open ended but can form the basis of the SSR2 study

One very minor question - in the "list of communities that the SSR2-RT may consult with” I am assuming that the resource of ICANN’s staff are also included, even though they are not explicitly listed, specifically including the manager of PTI, the CTO, the CSSO (If that’s John Crain’s appropriate title) and other security expert staff, such as Dave Piscatello. Would I be correct in making that assumption?

kind regards,

   Geoff Huston
