[Ssr2-review] Reminder: ACTION REQUIRED: Doodle poll for Facilitated F2F Meeting

Hi Negar and Jennifer,

I’m a little confused about where these specific dates came from, can you please clarify? I, for example, am not available for either block. Should there not have been some attempt to coordinate these with the SSR2 RT before they were selected as the only candidate options?

Eric

Subject: Second Security, Stability, and Resiliency (SSR2) Review -- Next Steps

Dear members of the second Security, Stability, and Resiliency (SSR2) Review Team (RT),

Allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Negar Farzinnia. I am a member of the Multistakeholder Strategy and Strategic Initiatives (MSSI) team at ICANN organization and oversee the Specific Reviews. Other members of the ICANN org supporting this review are:

Alice Jansen: Senior Project Manager, MSSI
Jennifer Bryce: Senior Reviews Coordinator, MSSI
Yvette Guigneaux: Projects and Operations Assistant, MSSI
Steve Conte: Office of the CTO Programs Director, OCTO

I am pleased to announce that Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees (SO/ACs) have appointed new members to this very important review. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome:

Rao Naveed bin Rais (GNSO)
Laurin Weissinger (ALAC)
Scott McCormick (GNSO)
Kimberly C. Claffy (SSAC)

Sadly, Don Blumenthal (SSAC) has decided not to continue participating in the SSR2 Review. We wish him the best and look forward to collaborating with him in the future reviews.

As requested by the SO/AC chairs in their 14 March 2018 communication<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/correspondence/soac-to-koubaa-13mar18-en.pdf>, ICANN organization is in the process of engaging a facilitator to help with onboarding new members who have joined the RT since the "pause", agreeing on leadership from within the current membership, working on resolving concerns around membership and scope, and, last but not least, identifying ways for the RT to reach consensus.

To that end, we are making plans to schedule a three (3)-day face to face (F2F) facilitated session (facilitator is soon to be confirmed), which is to take place at ICANN org’s Brussels office. Currently, we are looking into possible meeting dates such that they avoid all major holidays and other ongoing meetings (e.g. IETF, DNS Symposium, etc.) with ample time for you to plan ahead and for us to make reasonable travel accommodations for you.

Soon, you will be receiving a doodle poll offering multiple possible dates for this F2F meeting. Please select as many options as possible. If you have any restrictions or constraints, in terms of timing, etc., please do not hesitate to reach out to us and let us know (you may contact us via ssr2-staff at icann.org<mailto:ssr2-staff at icann.org>).

I look forward to working with you, all, once again.

Kind regards,

--
