<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">LOS ANGELES – 6 July 2017 – The Security Framework Drafting Team (SFDT) consisting of representatives from registries, registrars, the Public Safety Working Group (PSWG), and
the ICANN organization today announced it will present the <a href="https://www.icann.org/public-comments/draft-framework-registry-respond-security-threats-2017-06-14-en">draft Framework document</a> that has been published for public comment. The Framework
includes results of a two-year collaborative effort by the SFDT that addresses registries’ responses to notifications of security threats.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">The objective of this framework is to deliver on the New gTLD Program Committee of the ICANN board’s (NGPC) commitment to the GAC regarding ICANN soliciting community participation
to develop a framework for how a Registry Operator (RO) may respond to identified security threats.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">The meeting will take place on 12 July 2017 at 14:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and will be hosted by members of the SFDT to present the draft framework and provide an
