Dear All,

Quick followup on the call:

Attended : Dev T, Olivier Crépin-Leblond, Beran Gillen
Apologies, Gordon Chillcott, Glenn Mcknight
Staff : Nathalie, Heidi

What we've discovered in testing Adobe Connect plugins are that they will
only work on desktops running Adobe Flash and not on mobile/tablet
platforms on iOS and Android.
Given that attendees would be using such mobile devices to connect, any
plugin targeting participants would not work. So its makes more sense to
look at plugins that are targeted to hosts/presenters (that would typically
still be using desktops running Flash) rather than those targeted for use
by participants. A complex workaround would be to share the screen of a
desktop host/presenter for mobile devices but this is inelegant.

StageTimer (
http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/feature-details/stage-lights.html)
looks promising, although there seems to be a bug in that participants can
manipulate the timer, which would make it less useful. Digital Timer (
http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/feature-details/digitaltimer.html)
looks more promising with the feature of being customised only by hosts or
presenters being explicitly stated.

SurveyMaker (
http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/feature-details/surveymaker.html)
- the setup required several steps with the final validation email not
being delivered in time. Hence this wasn't tested. However, Adobe Connect
does have a builtin poll pod that will work on desktop and mobile and
perhaps notes about this pod could be shared with At-Large WGs chairs
looking to incorporate participants feedback during their WG calls. It was
noted that the poll pod is being used on GNSO and some cross-community WGs.

Think I've gotten the key points from the call and many thanks to those
that attended.

Dev Anand
