<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">ES is the country code for Spain and “.abogado” is a new gTLD falling within the category 1 of GAC safeguards as agreed at the Beijing meeting, March 2013. According to GAC Safeguard Advice, general safeguards for all
new gTLDs plus safeguards 1 to 8 meant for category 1 new gTLDs apply to this TLD which target a regulated market in many countries, including Spain.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">We request “es.abogado” remains reserved so that it can only be assigned to a person, entity or corporation proposed or accepted by the Spanish Government which includes the ccTLD manager for “.es” (as it is an State
agency). This would allow us to ensure third level domain names representing law firms or law professionals acting in Spain have and maintain the credentials needed to carry out this profession in our country.
