<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Spain objects to the use of the label “es” under “pharmacy” since the group “es.pharmacy” may suggest an association between the generic name and the country of Spain meaning that information about pharmacies or pharmaceuticals
in Spain can be found under that identifier. Trade on drugs or medicines is subject to stringent regulations in Spain including the advertisement of them, authorization of shops selling them and the ban on its sale through Internet. So, it´s imperative for
us to make sure the registrant of “es.pharmacy” commits to respect regulations and make third parties (who may register names in the third level) abide by them in case the registrant intends to profit from that association.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Spain also opposes to the release of “es.vin” and “es.wine” without prior consent by the Spanish Government. These combinations may imply an association between the name and the country. The production of wine is one
of our most precious agricultural products and exports. By retaining the right to authorize its use we will be able to verify that the registrant or registrants of “es.vin” and “es.wine” commit to use the name for the benefit of local wineries.
