The permanent record isn't published in the form of a
public git repository.  I long ago asked that IANA create
one for that purpose, but it wasn't feasible given their
infrastructure and (understandable) security concerns.

If my experimental repository isn't set up the way you like,
feel free to make a repository of your own and manage it the
way you prefer.  Git works well for that sort of thing.
