The preferred style is 'time zone', not 'timezone'.  It's hyphenated 
when needed to avoid ambiguity; e.g., see 
<http://www.grammar-monster.com/lessons/hyphens_in_compound_adjectives.htm>. 
  Arguably the hyphen could be removed in the case you mentioned.
