We changed that display string to remove the "(RTZ 6)" portion.  If you're still seeing it, then likely then you don't have Windows Update turned on, or for whatever reason have not installed this update.  Just like IANA pushes out updates to tzdata, Windows also keeps time zone data updated.

In fact, we have a very large update coming out later this month that will align Windows to be much closer to IANA data - at least in terms of covering every populated region on the planet, and correcting past inaccuracies.  For more details see:

We still consider IANA to be a superior data set though, and several groups at Microsoft are working on moving towards migrating.  For example, WinRT / UWP apps have already been using IANA data for awhile now, and .NET Core on Linux/OSX uses the OS-provided tzdata files.
