As someone who mostly just _uses_ the TZ database to support various projects, I’d like to take a short break in our current Mideast Moment to express my gratitude to all of those volunteers who work to keep this oft-overlooked but critical bit of IT infrastructure accurate and functional. This includes both those who work on the code and data directly as well as the researchers and others “on the ground” who keep this group informed in the midst of sometimes chaotic and fast-moving situations. I greatly appreciate the time, effort and professionalism that all of you consistently bring to this task.
