Client: K-9 Mail, version 5.008 
(quite popular Android client, works with other popular PGP app)

both strings were shown correctly
Copy Paste worked well. 
for both

Client itself used "open with" feature, and when the same e-mail client app was chosen - worked well

P.s: both letters were not delivered, notifications from Gmail server arrived, 
but letters were stuck in the Outbox of the client even after that.
