User could use either, XGen supports SSL and TLS both. MS Outlook 16 supports both too.

It's XgenPlus as server which is in backend and MS Outlook 2016 as emal client. Video showing to configure EAI in outlook and successfully deliver email to Gmail and receive from Gmail in EAI account.

In this SMTP (outgoing and incoming) for EAI is xgenplus email server .
