Their findings on Sina Weibo certainly tallies with my experience of using Weibo. Sina Weibo does not even linkify their own IDN nic.微博<http://nic.xn--9krt00a>

I would really like such systems to allow me to go into html mode so I can write the html code for a link. Actually, I would like to make that a recommendation ie have an html code edit mode. Once I have that then I can do the rest.
