Dear Jim,

Thank you for your inputs. We will update the page soon by incorporating inputs. After the Coordination WG review, which will take a bout 1 week or two, we will convert the file to a UASG branded pdf document and move it to Document Hub. Then we can give a link to the pdf document. We should also find a good place to link the page from the home page in the meantime.

Kind regards,
Seda

Seda:

Thank you for updating the link on the EAI Self-Certification Program page <https://uasg.tech/eai-certification/> [uasg.tech]<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/uasg.tech/eai-certification/__;!!PtGJab4!-_LoGH0WUsInwCw_KD5WIcsdAyEUfyZ0vs4ykOhFGbfC-8M50DUTtDbEhzvltwFC7iqo-277jS1ztVTdBUXSLXQ$> with a link to the "Version 1 draft" Google Doc of 12 September.

Once that document has been formatted and formally released, the link on the page should be updated to point to a PDF file. That is more appropriate for wide distribution than a Google Doc. Note that the Google Doc can still change, because many of the working group members have edit access to it.

I suggest changing the wording of that paragraph with the link from "A first draft" to "The draft". Once the link changes to point a PDF edition of the spec, change the wording to leave out the word "draft".

I note that in the "More Information" section, the address "info[at]uasg.tech" has been turned into a hyperlink to the actual email address, "info at uasg.tech"<mailto:info at uasg.tech>. It doesn't make much sense to me to have a hyperlink to the real email address and have the link text have a disguised email address. My understanding of the point of disguising an email address is to make it harder for automated web crawlers to scoop up valid email addresses and add them to spam lists. If we are going to turn the email address into a hyperlink, we are giving up protecting it from spam address crawlers. We should in that case change the link text to the actual address, "info at uasg.tech"<mailto:info at uasg.tech>, and make it easier for the legitimate humans who want to contact us.

I hope that these are all easy changes to make. I will point out that this page needs to change a lot more. We need to add more content to it, and to update it often to keep it current with activity in the self-certification program. I hope that UASG and ICANN are setting up processes to make that rapid updating feasible.

Best regards,
