Dear All

I have been asked by the GAC leadership group to inform you that it will not be possible for a single agreed set of GAC comments to be submitted to the public comment process for the draft Framework of Interpretation on Human Rights by the deadline of 16 June 2017. This is due to workload pressures including an increasing number of competing priorities.

The GAC, through its Working Group on Human Rights and International Law, will discuss this issue at its face to face meeting in Johannesburg, with a view to providing feedback as soon as possible.

Individual GAC members may still choose to make a submission by the deadline.

The GAC Chair and Vice Chairs would appreciate any views you may have on how the GAC can help with future process for this specific issue, having regard to the discussion on timelines at today's CCWG-WS2 plenary call.

Kind regards

Tom Dale
