[lac-discuss-en] IGF

 Dear all

 I believe several other colleagues may help sharing some information about 
IGF. I was not here sponsored by ALAC. I was there sponsored by my client, then 
I need to circulate some days going to another state near by. I also coordinate 
a session on Internet Content and Creativity during Tuesday morning.
However I have talked with several colleagues and can share some few points 
with you all:


  *    The relevance of IGF to us, part of  ICANN, was the focus on finish the 
CCWG agreement and more, using the  the presence of several governments and the 
need to reach agreement related to the stress test 18 as we knew it.
  *    Fadi and Larry from NTIA were full busy talking with all governments and 
attending relevant sessions as Trust consumer I could attend among others
  *   IGF as we know does not expect any conclusion or formal agreements, it is 
more about spread of information and cross talking about all issues related to 
Internet and is this aspect it was very active, full of old and new discussions.
  *    Several colleagues from ALAC and from our region were there as Fatima, 
Natalia, Olga, Carlton, Lance, Gabriela, Leon , Jose Rojas, Renata Aquino  and 
Alan, Olivier, Siranush + Daniel Fink, Rodrigo de la Parra and Alex de ICANN I 
had a chance to talk.
  *    I could not attend the meeting on Friday dedicated to our region. Hope 
other colleagues can share with us how it had gone.

All the transcription guess are already available, so we all can read them and 
learn from there.
 Till tomorrow at our regular meeting.
I will suggest we all make, at the beginning, after a roll call,  1 minute of 
silence in memoriam of our colleague Roosevelt.
