Queridos amigos,

Quiero invitarlos a participar en los trabajos del CCWG-Accountability. Como 
saben, este grupo està encargado de elaborar la propuesta para mejorar los 
mecanismos de rendiciÃn de cuentas para ICANN considerando tanto aquellos 
mecanismos que deben de estar listos o comprometidos para antes de llevarse a 
cabo la transiciÃn de la supervisiÃn de la administraciÃn de las funciones de 
IANA, como aquellos que se considera pueden tomar mÃs tiempo en implementarse y 
no resultan esenciales para la transiciÃn.

El trabajo de este grupo es de suma importancia para el futuro de ICANN y me 
preocupa que, conforme a la lista 
<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=50823968> de miembros 
y participantes, Ãnicamente estamos Antonio Medina GÃmez y su servidor como 
parte de LACRALO.

En la regiÃn contamos con compaÃeros con vasta experiencia en muchos temas y 
sin duda el de rendiciÃn de cuentas no creo que sea la excepciÃn. Ojalà se 
animen a participar en estos trabajos.

En el grupo de 161, sÃlo somos 9 personas provenientes de la regiÃn. De esos 9, 
sÃlo 2 de At-Large. Ninguno de los dos pertenecemos especÃficamente al Caribe y 
creo que es muy importante que al menos una persona del Caribe pueda aportar a 
los trabajos del grupo.

Dear Friends,

I want to invite you all to participate in the CCWG-Accountabilityâs works. As 
you may know, this group has been chartered to build a proposal to enhance 
ICANNâs accountability, assessing both, mechanisms that should be in place or 
committed before the IANA stewardship transition and those that may have a 
longer implementation timeline and that are not essential to the transition.

This groupâs work is very important to ICANNâs future and I am concerned that, 
as per the official list 
<https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=50823968> of members 
and participants, there is only Antonio Medina GÃmez and myself as participants 
to the group for LACRALO.

We have many teammates with vast experience on many subjects in LACRALO and my 
guess is that Accountability is not the exception. I hope you decide to join 
the group.

At this moment there are only 9 members/participants, out of 161, that come 
from the region. Out of this 9, only 2 belong to At-Large. None of the 
members/participants are from the Caribbean and I believe it is of the essence 
that we have at least one person from the Caribbean that can contribute with 
their valued knowledge and experience to the group.
