Humberto: We agree with the proposal to do nothing in relation with EURALO 
petition. We have defined few days ago, not support any additional candidate. 
We think, ratify our previous desition is the movement to do.

Hello Humberto,

Based on your email, it seems that LACRALO already has made the decision via 
consensus that it does not support any additional Candidate to be included in 
the Final Slate, regardless of EURALO’s petition decision. Hence, LACRALO does 
not need to organize a vote reacting to EURALO’s petition.

Please be so kind to send a confirmation email to 
program-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:program-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> stating 
that LACRALO does not support EURALO’s petition on Sebastien Bachollet, and I 
will forward that to the BMSPC.

In the case of LACRALO, we asked the opinion of our members via mailing list.

The 3rd of January I sent the following email to the list:

"Dear All,

As you are aware, we are in a process for the At-large community to participate 
in the process of choosing the 15th position for the ICANN board.

On 16 December 2016, the BCEC concluded its Candidate Evaluation process and 
announced that the following Candidates will be named as the (initial) BCEC 
Slate of Candidates, be automatically included in the Final Slate, and go 
forward to the next stage of the selection process organized by the BMSPC. The 
Candidates, listed in alphabetical order of the last name, are:


Alan Greenberg (Canada)
Leon Felipe Sanchez Ambia (Mexico)

In spite of the above, LACRALO has the option to incorporate more candidates to 
this list. The candidates that can be incorporated are the following:

  *   Sebastien Bachollet (France)
  *   William Michael Cunningham (United States)
  *   Hago Dafalla (Libya)
  *   Nigel Phair (Australia)
Candidates will be added only if they receive support through a formal vote of 
at least three of the five RALOs; each RALO shall vote according to its 
respective rules. Subsequently, the Final Slate of Candidates will proceed to 
an election by the ALAC Members and RALO Chairs, which is culmination of the 
ICANN Board Director selection process.

We want to emphasize that the proposal of adding candidates is an OPTION and 
not an obligation. We can conclude that we do not want to add new candidates to 
the list.

As a result of the above, a discussion process will open that will run until 
January 9, 2016. The discussion will be carried out in LACRALO's mailing list 
and in the wiki in the following

We only had opinions supporting the option in order not to include any other 
candidate. Thus, the conditions to add a new candidate were not successful. 
Maritza explained the situation in our last monthly meeting, summarizing the 
emails.

However, EURALO made this petition. Do we have to organize a voting process 
even though the requirements were not met according to our mail?

European Regional At-Large Organization (EURALO) concluded its vote on adding 
Sébastien Bachollet to the Final Slate for the ICANN Board Director position 
selected by the At-Large Community.

The vote result confirms EURALO ALSes' support for Sébastien's petition:

a RALO has already conducted its formal decision making process to decide not 
to support any petition, no further action is required for that RALO but they 
have to inform

they do not wish to support Sebastien's petition. The deadline for the other 
RALOs to make their decisions and inform
