Yo había “votado” o, a lo mínimo, manifestado mi posición favorable a la opción 
 1) descripta abaja en a. por Leon. 

Me parece la mejor y más apropiada a la transición. 

Así que voto nuevamente por esta opción.

Creo que el texto enviado es claro en cuanto a la extensión del término para la 
actual Presidencia y Secretaría. Cito

 

a. The first option is to hold the elections in May with full synchronization 
achieved at ICANN 60

The elected leaders would then take their positions immediately after the close 
of the 2017 Annual General Meeting (ICANN 60).  This would mean that the 
current LACRALO Chair and Secretariat would stay in their positions through 
ICANN 60. This would allow for a transition period if new leaders are elected. 
Both current and incoming leaders are provided with travel support for the 
Annual General Meeting.

 

He resaltado la parte correspondiente para pronta referencia.

 

En mi opinión, vale la pena acortar los tiempos de sincronización y por ello 
valdría la pena votar por la opción a.

 

Además de la conveniencia en cuanto a acortar tiempos, sugiero la opción a. 
debido al excelente trabajo que han desempeñado Humberto y Maritza en sus 
respectivos cargos.

Las opciones se han discutido desde hace mucho y se pueden encontrar en la 
wiki:

Parece importante tomarse el tiempo de analizar cuál considera ud es la mejor 
opción para la región y votar acorde. No solamente porque es la opción favorita 
de uno o varios. No se trata de votar por la opción que tiene la mayoría, se 
trata de decidir lo más conveniente para quienes aspiran a ocupar los nuevos 
cargos en la armonización de los calendarios de nuestra RALO con todas las 
otras RALOS. 

 

Es solo un comentario al margen.
